Two girls run away from a mental institution and forge a relationship on the streets of New York. They soon link up with disc jockey Johnny LaGuardia (Tim Curry) and form an underground punk rock band - The Sleeze Sisters - who become a hit with the city's disillusioned youth after broadcasting their volatile songs and speeches on LaGuardia's radio station. Will the Sleeze Sisters be torn apart? Or will they tear themselves apart?
