TV at the Alamo: THE THICK OF IT

Rated Unknown

Location: Alamo Village

If you haven't heard, there's a free advance screening of the hilarious UK import IN THE LOOP this Wednesday at Alamo South Lamar. You can rsvp yourself onto the will-call list on the facebook event page, but that doesn't guarantee you a seat, it just gets you in the door. Seating will still be determined on a fist come, first seated basis.

BUT!

You can get a priority seating pass to the show on Wednesday by heading heading over to the Village for this show tonight! Equally as outrageously good as IN THE LOOP and must be seen to fully appreciate the brilliance of creator/director Armando Iannucci.

THICK OF IT super-fan #1 Tim League will be there, and if you show up tonight, he'll hook you up with a ticket good for priority seating to the IN THE LOOP advance screening on Wednesday. Which means, as long as you show up at least 30 minutes before showtime on Wednesday and you present your pass, you get to enter the theater before everyone else. After 30 minutes before showtime, though, all bets are off, so make good use of it.

We can't stress enough how incredibly good this show and this movie are, so do yourself a big favor- go see THICK OF IT tonight and IN THE LOOP on Wednesday for free.

This hilarious and poignant BBC series is about to get a big-screen make-over called IN THE LOOP which opens at Lamar on August 14. To celebrate the release, we're going back to the brilliant source material for a few special screenings. Hey, American television, watch and learn.

This BAFTA-winning series follows the inner-workings of the fictitious Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship (DoSAC) in London. It's crude, unnerving and funny as hell. That's all you need to know for now. Come.

Also check out our showing Thursday, August 13th at Lamar.
