On May 23rd 2009, some of the of the world's most hirsute competitors will travel to Anchorage, Alaska to compete in the World Beard and Moustache Championships (WBMC).

The Austin Facial Hair Club is going to represent our fair city and bring home some of these prestigious awards. We've been training (not shaving) for many many months and spreading the word that shaving is bad! This screening is the first of many fundraisers around town to help our team restore some pride to this lil part of Texas.

DAY OF THE WOLVES is essential perfect crime-beardsploitation-cinema. "A group of six thieves selected from different areas are sent a letter that promises them a minimum of $50,000 and includes a plane ticket. The letter instructs them to grow a beard..." The beard commandos (or "beardmandos") take over a whole town and that's when things start to get hot and itchy! Tickets are only 5 dollars and go to a great and meaningful cause!

The judging criteria.

Kid Policy: 18 and up; Children 6 and up will be allowed only with a parent or guardian. No children under the age of 6 will be allowed.
