THIS IS IT! THE FINAL MJ SING-ALONGS BEFORE THE BIG THRILL THE WORLD EVENT!!

We've been scheduling monthly Michael Jackson parties at the theater for the past 10 months, all so that we could build awareness of one of the most exciting events in all of Austin this fall - THRILL THE WORLD: AUSTIN. Our goal is to break the Guinness world record for having the most people dance the Thriller dance in one place, and we need your help.

We teamed up with the RUDE MECHANICALS, FLASHMOB AUSTIN, MEXIC-ARTE MUSEUM, and many more in order to put together the most amazing nights of Thrilling ever. To get started, check out www.thrilltheworldaustin.com, where you'll find a complete schedule of afternoon rehearsals when you can learn the Thriller dance. It takes around two or three hours, and you could learn the entire dance at just one rehearsal. If you want to be a master zombie, though, you can come out to all of these practices and lead the charge.

Once you've learned the dance, you'll be ready to join us for our two different performances:

OCTOBER 25, 1pm
Location: The Plaza in front of the Long Center

October 25 is the official Thrill The World date, when people all over the world will be performing the dance at the exact same time. We want to make sure Austin represents with the largest group on that day and time, so come out for one last dress rehearsal before our BIG performance.

NOVEMBER 1, 6pm
On Sixth Street, as an official part of Mexic-Arte's DAY OF THE DEAD processional.
Meet up at Plaza Saltillo at 5pm, dressed in full zombie garb

This is the one I'm crazy excited about. We're joining in with Mexic-Arte's annual Day of the Dead processional down Sixth Street. It'll start innocently enough - our group will all be dressed as modern day zombies at the end of the parade. But then when we approach Trinity and get close to the Alamo Ritz, the processional will come to a stop, our zombies will die again, and then THRILLER will be heard playing up and down the street. Our zombies will get up, and right there on Sixth Street and in front of the news cameras of the world, we'll start dancing the same choreography, all together. And the world will be thrilled.

So come to the Sing-Along. Come to the dance lessons. And definitely, definitely, come out and Thrill the World with us.

Kid Policy: 18 and up; Children 6 and up will be allowed only with a parent or guardian. No children under the age of 6 will be allowed.
