No other venue in Austin can do justice to 2001's visual majesty in all its widescreen glory. Before CGI was even a twinkle in Satan's eye, Stanley Kubrick gathered an aircraft hangar full of artists and technicians to translate his vision to the screen. The resulting film is a chronicle of no less than man's emergence on earth and his future gestation into a purely cosmic being, with magnificent vistas of outer space and even spiritual transformation, which is apparently very colorful. Needless to say, this does not translate well to your video iPod! Fortunately, we have a ginormous screen and a booming sound system to make you feel like you've escaped Earth's gravitational field.
