For better or worse, Joel M. Reed made his name with misogynist torture opus BLOODSUCKING FREAKS. That same year, the NY filmmaker paid a far less sleazy homage to the Hammer and Amicus Studios anthology films with this collection of cockeyed terror tales. Just a sample of what you'll see here: an extremely mad bomber, a money-grubbing ghost, a cautionary tale about the dangers of time travel and an absolutely derailed story about a kung fu master facing off against a fire-breathing quadroplegic. All right...there's not actually a huge quantity of blood in BLOOD BATH...but there weren't any monsters or balls in MONSTER'S BALL and a ton of people saw that movie.
