I typically side with SXSW over ACL, for sooo many reasons. Most of those reasons are the dust and heat at ACL and how miserable that makes me, but this year I almost bought a one-day ticket for Friday night. And then the Beastie Boys had to cancel due to Adam's (treatable, fortunately) illness. The reason was understandable, but the disappointment was palpable, and so on the eve of when they were set to perform here live, the Action Pack is going to throw a Beastie Boys Sing-Along party. Because we can't, we won't, and we don't stop, so come out and get Intergalactic with us and don't worry about that silly dustbowl party the next day. (Henri)
